马丁·尼默勒 (Martin Niemöller)：“起初他们迫害……”

马丁·尼默勒 (1892-1984) 是德国著名的路德教会牧师。在20世纪20年代和30年代初，他同情纳粹理念，支持激进的右翼政治运动。但在阿道夫·希特勒1933年上台后，尼默勒开始直言不讳地批评希特勒对新教教会的干涉。1937年至1945年，他在纳粹监狱和集中营度过了纳粹统治的最后八年。尼默勒最为人所熟知的或许是他在战后所说的一句话：“起初他们迫害共产主义者，我没有说话……”
